I try to keep to a deadline of 5pm so this is a little late. But what takes time is editing the video if I need to make changes. If anyone who appears in the video doesn’t want to appear, please tell me immediately and I will edit the video. Steve
I’m afraid we will just have to live with the flickering on the altar and congregation cameras. They seem to be sensitive to the church lighting. I’ve tried everything to find a solution!
I always write a few notes. I think we will have to live with the flickering on the video of the altar and the congregation. I have tried everything. But it seems not to be a problem with the camera that I use for the lectern. I used pixelating on the first shot of the congregation, mainly because one or two people in the foreground were too prominent. Next week, I will place the camera higher.
Sorry, there is no recorded service for today. I will explain, I started recording when the service started, but there was a big delay and I stopped recording. When it re-started, I forgot for a while to re-start the recording. In any case, I don’t have sufficent time to set up the church PA and the recording gear if there has been a concert, because I have to derig it completely and rig it from scratch. I didn’t have time to rig the altar mic or the radio mic for Eduardo, our priest for today.
I still have flickering on the two small cameras that I use for the altar and congregation – this is caused by the church LED lighting. There is a suggested solution in the editor which doesn’t work, but the definitive solution is expensive. Better luck next week! I left everything rigged, ready to go this time!
I always add a few technical notes! For the lectern, I was using an old microphone which belonged to the church but it was giving out a hum today. So I brought it home to check it out. We still have flickering on the altar camera. This is due to interaction between the church lighting and the camera. The simplest solution didn’t work and the next solution is quite expensive. The sound was a little on the low side on the original video, this is a new version which has beeen improved in the editor. This week is a “first” as it is the first time I have put the service on YouTube without first running it through the editor at home. I would dearly love to stream the sevices but our internet connection is only 3G. But I record the services “as live”, so in theory I don’t need to use the editor.
Steve writes…I am admin for our newsletter. Up till now, it has been called “What’s on in Las Palmas”, and it included a section for the city as well as for the church and the British Club. A little while ago, I dropped the city section and, now that the British Club has its own newsletter, I’m concentrating far more on the church. So, it is now called “The Newsletter of Holy Trinity Church and the British Club, Las Palmas.”
